I don't think it does come with BF3, but I could be wrong...I read somewhere that it was going to be included with SOMETHING, but...I can't find any info.

I read somewhere 1943 was to be included in the PS3 version a few months back

I haven't played in ages...I didn't like it at first, then I got BFBC2 and understood it better, but never had need to go back. Flying planes is fun though. Never played BC1...maybe some day when it's $5.99 in the PSN, lol.

Meh, not really...nobody plays anymore, and it's woefully limited compared to even BFBC1.
