Battleborn
So I played Battleborn today and I have got to say it's fantastic. I wasn't really expecting much but after playing it I can safely say gearbox put a lot of effort into this game. Each character has their own play style and abilities that make them different in their own unique way and the dialogue is amazingly funny. I'll post some more stuff about it later tonight but in the mean time here's the trailer.
Re: Battleborn
I like that there are 24 unique characters, and yet you can still customize each individually to fit your playstyle with the way that the skills work.

Re: Battleborn
It's an interesting mix of MOBA and FPS, the gameplay is fantastic and the maps are actually done well. I love that you have a never ending mix up of characters for PVP/PVE 25 different individuals with their own unique play styles, which makes for interesting combat for each game you play.
Re: Battleborn
I didnt spend much time in MP, but the story mode was cool, but didnt seem to be much challenge to it. So other than trying out different characters, I didnt see much reason to go back and play over. I could be missing something though.
Also, probably a function of just playing the beta, but it was hard for me to see what would make the characters unique to me. By that I mean how I could build them to suit how I like to play since so much was locked. It looked like there was plenty to customize, just couldnt get the feel of it.

Re: Battleborn
I think that aspect is mostly locked into the skill choices you make as you level up, but I could be wrong. Dafuq do I know about anything, haven't even played it.

Re: Battleborn
This guy makes a pretty good point for both games and why they're different from
one another.
Re: Battleborn
Lol. Imma make a video comparing two games to show why they shouldnt be compared.

Re: Battleborn
After watching that, hmmm...
Battleborn: I don't even know what the fuck I'm looking at half the time. There's way too much shit happening on screen. It's overly-complex for a shooter, because it's more of an arena moba...something I really don't like. It looks great, it has a campaign, and it's interesting (but again, retardedly complex) in it's levelling and builds. There's no way it's a jump in and play type of game, and therefore will not be fun for anything "less" than committed players. With the focus being on late game or end game levelling of shit it looks to be frustrating. Casuals will get raped and confused. And I don't like the bullet sponginess. Also, with that many characters and differences in skill choices, I like that you can pretty much put a "team" together that can compliment everyone else, but it looks like unless you clan up and work on strats and tactics, there doesn't seem to be much fun in picking up and playing. Asians are gonna love this shit.
Overwatch: Not keen on the Disney look, but it does look good. It's much more stripped down in terms of complexity, but I'd like to think it's got more on offer than current shooters. I like that it's got progression outside of in-match play. I worry about the overall depth of modes and whatnot...but then again even with BF we only ever stuck to a couple of tried and true modes so that's no biggie as long as they are fun. And this game DOES look fun.
I guess for me it comes down to time and commitment, just like any other game I play these days, and I just don't have the desire to get THAT deep into any multiplayer game anymore. I have Doom and Uncharted coming in a couple of weeks, neither of which I am getting for multiplayer anyway. So I suppose if the choice is between Battleborn or Overwatch, I'd choose...neither?

#NOPE
The more I see of this game, the less I want to play it. Campaign, maybe, but that's it.

Re: Battleborn
So I've played only about 5 characters but man they're all so good! I've gotta give credit to gearbox who have done an amazing job with balancing out each character so well.
Re: Battleborn
