I had Krul and Shawcross for a while myself, but goals against factor in a lot on scoring for both GK and D, and i needed to juggle financials.

i think newcastle will bring me some good times fingers crossed.

Might swap out given for someone else 2bh...waste of money if he's on my bench.

Law, problem with GK is they all mostly cost the same(ish), so you want to look at clean sheets and minutes played and goals against. If you could swap Given for someone like...hmm...Vorm, or maybe even some fartknocker like Czezezezezezny, you'd be in good shape. If your main guy goes down you have a guaranteed every-minute-player with a decent team in front of him. Vorm is a risk but if he moves and starts for a top squad you're golden. That's the chance I took on Joe Allen...cheap, if he stays at Swansea he will always start and figure big, and if he moves to Liverpool I'm fucking stoked.

I don't think positions in the formation matter, as long as D is in D, etc. but once squad is set, you can go to team management and change subs.

Dan - yes, lol. Nice team..looks like you went heavily based on last season's scoring averages, but pretty solid. I went for mostly guys I like, but with an eye towards performance. And no Manc Scum.

yeah i actually started off with Vorm but thought given might be a better chance. Think i'll look into a different guy though. Thanks for the help

Interesting contrasts though...we have native Limey that knows his league and teams, Yank wanker that knows his shit but goes more with heart than head, transplanted Portugee that loves footy but doesn't follow the EPL, and cold clinical Sheissehund that is a wildcard but probabaly will build his team around Arsenal and Podolski, lolololol...

Kaum should join so we can have a knownothing(aboutfootball) Mexiclown that will just autofill his team and probably win the whole fucking thing.

I figured a good team starts with a good midfield so that's what I aimed at, defense next and one dependable guy up front.
So now what? How do I join the league, are we waiting for the invite?
