Everyone get a PC

I hear ya, for sure. I don't plan on getting a Neo until two conditions have been met: 1) my current PS4 dies, and 2) PSVR proves to be worth it.
I think FPS' are best on consoles as well. Maybe not "best", but ideally played with a controller. Honestly, playing with a KB/M seems so unnatural that I don't think I could ever get used to it.  What I would enjoy on a PC is racing sims with a wheel, MYST type walking sims, physics based Portal type games, and some indies, but MOBAs, builders, RTS, things like that are of no interest to me, and they are all types of games at which a PC excels.

1k is decent for a pc, I built mine for like 600 plus dual monitors and keyboard /mouse. I enjoy playing with keyboard mouse now, law still uses a controller for games haha

There are still some games on the ps4 that I'd like to play so I'm not done with it. That said, all the games I'm interested in are only pc besides War Thunder and War Thunder just plays better with mouse and keyboard. 

Also, you guys are still on the ps4 so it's not like I'm going to abandon anyone.

They're definitely not the best because of frame rate issues but I don't think I'll ever be as good at fps's on pc as I was on console. 

The game I'm really into right now is World of Warships. It's a warship arcade game with WWI and WWII ships and it's good fun. It's made by WarGaming which is the same developer that made World of Tanks. Warships just tend to be much more interesting to me than tanks though. I've seen the USS North Carolina and the USS Intrepid in person and while I haven't encountered either ship in the game yet, they both are in the game (the Intrepid isn't but the lead ship of its class, the Essex, is) and I think that's pretty cool.

The Yamato is also in the game and that's definitely a ship I'll be wanting to commandeer eventually. 460mm cannons = OP

Hi Kaum! I think 1k for a pc will allow you to play games at high settings with good fps for at least 5 years or longer depending on what components you buy. Granted, none of the games I want to play are considered to be really taxing on the gpu I'm looking at but I do like the fact that I won't have to worry about replacing the gpu anytime soon if I buy the gpu I'm currently interested in. 

I'm considering using dual monitors too, just need to buy one though because I already have one and it's nice.

just don't be like the rest of the pc master race...  built 1k computer and play only minecraft haha.   yeah my pc is old but runs overwatch decently, it's awesome.

Haha, I won't do that. Minecraft and Terraria don't interest me at all.
And while I won't be a pc elitist, I won't deny there are some real benefits to pc gaming.

Isn't that game coming out on console too? You're gonna watch someone play it when you could be playing it yourself? 

We'll see what happens. I'm in no rush to build this pc and as of yet, I haven't bought any components yet so it'll be a while. I do plan on having this built by the end of this year so that's something to look forward to.

It's full release is in December, early access for PS is supposedly in July so we'll see.

My laptop can't even run 1080p porn, no money to build a PC.

Anyways, no need to waste money on a high-end machine, when there are plenty of great old games out there with their multiplayer still active, or run servers run by fans.


600$ could probably get you something that plays most games from 2013 downwards in an acceptable quality.
