What's your take on the aim assist issue? It's "on" by default. I turned it off at the beginning and turned it back on recently, and I don't see any difference. Some whiny bitches say it TOTALLY works, like to aimbot levels of assist, some say it pulls your crosshairs a tiny bit if an enemy is super close, and some say it'll pull their crosshairs if someone is hiding behind a wall, so they know where to fire RPGs. I think if anything, the "really close it moves a bit" is most accurate. No game company is gay enough to implement aim assist in a multiplayer game...thoughts/observances?

I just tweeted Zh1nt0 and Demize asking them...if they reply I'll post it.

See, that's what I'm saying too...on or off it has made no difference. What kind of retarded game company would put that into a multiplayer game, and allow it to give an advantage either way? In the campaign it is VERY obvious, but online? Nope... I am usually using ADS, and with a scope or red dot or whatever, you'd think it would totally be obvious, but it just doesn't happen. I think people are confused by character animation.

Back in Socom, which was third person, so it was VERY obvious, there was a thing called "pointing", where if you were looking towards an enemy whether you could see him or not, your guy would raise his gun, as if to alert you to a target. It wasn't any sort of aim assist, more like an "attention assist". I think in BF3 there's a slight gun movement that does the same thing, but only on close targets...like your guy is going "hey, something's over there", but it doesn't move your aim point or drag your crosshairs at all.

Aim assist? I switch of my targeting computer...rely on the force.

I have seen a couple times where I feel my gun gets pulled towards the enemy, but I like to believe its because I was correcting my aim.

I use an aimbot so I wouldn't know if there's aim assist.

Also, can't wait to see the 500 kill USAS tag. It must be a SPAS-15

Well aim assist doesn't always work I guess but I forgot which map I as in but I went into a garage to do something and put the controller down for a second. While I'm looking at the screen an enemy runs past the entrance of the garage and the camera jut followed him till he beyond my view. So I guess if you're not aiming down the sights and aren't really moving much the aim assist would kick in.

There's that weird issue with the aiming and input lag on the PS3, and I think it comes and goes, but that sounds like input lag aim correction and wonky dead zones on the stick, as you mentioned. Especially if you have it turned off, lol...there's the proof right there. If anything at all, if there IS "aim assist" it's on, and very slight, for everyone, and setting it to on or off makes no difference.

I do that all the time...you R1 on enemy equipment, and it's supposed to be an ECM jammer. Works on other MAVs, radio beacons, T-UGS, and SOFLAMS as well as Johnny 5's. With how much I've flown the mav I've never seen that box. I've taken out radio becons but I always had to come up close to it.

Hmm seems like story time to me.

So I was doing some karg island alone and I come into a match with only 9 other people. I just got in the viper then looked at the scoreboard and the other team has 3 colonel and all them are in the air vehicles. So shit ends up being 3 v 1 and shit get intense. With the 3 of them basically heading straight for the aircraft carrier so I desperetely just hide the viper on the other side of the ship and creep around the other side of the boat and pop up right behind the Havoc.

I guess he was surprised that he was getting locked onto and basically was flying on his side just getting away from the boat. I lock on and come in close so I can't miss with the heat seekers and shoot his ass out of the sky. I guess they were in the same squad because when I turn the viper around i see both jets next to each other shooting their main guns at me so I fucking nose dive towards the water and hover their for a second then come back up just run to the mountain. With the time i gave my team they got the two jets in the air and put some well needed pressure on the two bastards in the enemy jets.

With the help of the two blue berries they some how manage to push one of the jets toward me and I shoot him down with a few rockets to the face. With those two out of the air I just left the last jet to the two smurfs.
