Battlefield 3 - prelaunch excitement

So Battlefield 3 come's out in October so I made the for are BF3 topic so JETS fuck yeah

Game looks horrible.

Looked at the BF3 gadgets list holy SHIT they have a lot of shit there's a eod bot that arms M-coms and The m26 mass And the Mav micro uav. It looks to be a good game

DICE says it should take about 100 hours PER CLASS to unlock all the shit. That includes each weapon, each attachment for each weapon (yeah, first you get the gun, then you gotta get ALL the stuff for it), and each class spec item. I don't have a problem with 400 hours, that'll be a snap, but can you imagine the painintheassery involved in doing that for the guns you really don't like? Ugh.

...and then having to plat each one on top of that? FUCK.

It's really hard to tell how good details/lighting/textures are...plus, 360? Gay. I also watched some German douchebag unbox a PS3 pre-order limited edition, and THEY get both a dogtag pack and a specact skin pack in their preorders...not sure what ours will have exactly.

I realized as well that the guy wasn't piloting in the single player but then it occurred to me that maybe if you play coop then one might actually fly while the other does the firing as in the vid

Had some hilarious screw ups, I was running and then I started sinking into random patches of grass.

And bad hit detection... Hope it stays in the beta.
No lung on the knife. But you can keep the knife out.

Two... It is really hard to get them because of the horrible knifing animations and it is worse than the bc2 knife.

Yeah you have to knife from the back it's a one hit kill if you knife from the front its a two hit kill.

So last night I go to my friends place for a couple of drinks and bring all of my ps3 remotes cause he only has 1. So I just got home and got all comfortable. Only to realize I forgot all my remotes over there.

Fucking broken beta.

Beta is buggy. Joining squads is impossible. Red and purple flashing gets annoying, as well as the "saving" 3 second lag. Balance of weapons seemed alright, although you die incredibly fast (FFFUUUUUUU). Changing weapons/loadout is a bit weird to me. Prone imo should be taken out because it's challenging to see enemies as is, but it is useful. I do enjoy accepting revives, and pistols are more powerful, which I like. Overall, if they fix the glitches with multiplayer, and play around with balances a bit more I'll be happy. Getting one shotted across the map with a ump is really annoying.

7/10 overlooking the bugs. I'd move to an 8 or 9 if they play around with weapon power and accuracy on some, and fix the knife. I can live with everything else.

Agreed, all of it. I like falling through the map though, that's great fun. Or watching corpses slide around. Or getting sniped repeatedly by fucking camper-ass never leave deployment faggity little CrazyDriver. That's cool too.

I agree the game is good needs more work its really good when you have your friends in the game with you but it needs more work like you guys said.
P.S the knifeing not that hard I got 4 knifes in a roll all rank 14s. The weapons are great some of them are just a little OP the 870 fucking awesome and the glock17 best gun ever but they need to put a conquest map that we know what conquest is like watkins out.
