Battlefield 3 - prelaunch excitement

Ok, here's the platoon...go ahead and apply, since I can't search/add people by name. The emblem is just a playing around with it...lemme know what you guys think.

beta 1st impressions:


graphics are meh, nothing crazy, looks good enough I guess

gameplay is great, at least the lobby we were in everyone was moving, fast paced, tactical at times, really enjoyed it

mechanics are amazing, seriously they did an amazing job with the soldier movements, reload animations and everything else, really looks great

so far only played assault, weapons feel really good, unfortunately I couldn't get my headset to play the game sound, only chat and even that stopped working so I wonder how good they really sound, I had my headset plugged in the tvs headset jack...

I remember playing the KZ3 beta which was still alpha code and it wasn't by far half as buggy as this damn build. wow is this thing buggy, chat is hit or miss, squad invites non existant, friend squads are hard to make happen, map glitches and oh I had a whole round where players would shoot and I would see bullet trails as really bright lights and these would stay for minutes so most of that round my screen was all white, other bugs like that are everywhere

overall the game feel good, like it even though I still don't know the map very well and we only played rush. but I can see where it can go had we arica harbor or panama or white pass. really like the feel of the game.


I didn't find prone to be an issue, at least not in the lobby we were, like i said everyone was going for objectives. I didn't think flash lights were an issue either ,I just shot at them and half the time got the kill myself. recoil is much higher then in BC2 but I like it. you kill with less bullets but I like that too I think, the recoil make up for it by spreading your bullets everywhere.

Beware the quicksand hole by the first set of MCOMS...that's some bullshit right there.

Well I found out how to change the rate of fire fire from fully auto to single shot. (Down on the directional pad.) And it make a hell of a difference while shooting. Honestly, I find myself on single fire more often then full auto.

I KNOW, asshole...you and your fucking one shot bullshit.

...on a side note, I got watkin's tags. Twice. Lawl.

Fuck all u assholes on a lighter note u can use iron sites on the dumper rifles

Yeah, you can chekc your stats...in the Battlelog, lawl. The P-stats BF3 stat tracker isn't live yet. All it's doing is tracking number of players on PC.

So I played BF3 decreped is great at the game and Dan stop camping lol. And Raz Is A fucking ninja at the game. I love the M4 that thing is awesome and the MK11 is rearry good when u just use it with ironsites u can use as a battle rifle sofar iv gotten a lot of good matchs the map is great when you fight in the sub way wish they put the LAV in the map so we could see what it's like.

I love you fucking cumdumpsters...

So far my all time favorite is the Mk 11, Fucking love that thing. But these newer guns I unlocked are purddyyy.

Also, fuck the beta. Fuck it right in the ass. I KNOW the final game will be just fine, but this piece of shit can go die in a fire. I had a shitload of fun going back to BFBC2...all the troll faggots are off playing that festering shitpile with you guys, while I..I played with RLRs, and managed to Ace Pin seven rounds in a row. NOT medic whoring (for all of them). That game has it's (foreigner) problems, but at least I can squad up and talk to the right people and not get oneshotted by every fucking retard in the game while being blinded by flashlights, lasers, disco balls, and getting trolled by the fucking MAP and sucked into holes in the ground. Eat shit DICE. Eat shit.

Well since BF3 obviously has squad issues, why don't use the chat in battlelog to communicate. They have a voice chat room so we can just connect our mics to the computer.
