i just finished fallout new vegas last night on my xbox. im gonna be on(or downloading) bf3 tonight hopefully. i will be going out of town again tomorrow at 5am though. ill be back on 31st.

so I preordered bf3 at my gamestop, but I came to rhode island for my friends holloween party this Saturday. Does anyone know if I can still pick up my copy at a gametop around here.

I am pretty sure you have to get it at the GameStop you ordered from. You should call the store and see if they can transfer your purchase.

Yeah, you're supposed to pick up at your sote you did the preorder from, but they can transfer. What they do is cancel your preorder from that store and then they do a preorder at theirs. It's stupid, but if you go between 10-12, you have to finalize your order anyway, so it's no big deal.

In the past few hours I've read the game manual, seen screenshots from the Prima guide, seen gameplay vids of most maps, read six different reviews, seen the screenshots of the 360 w/ & w/o the high res textures, etc. etc. etc.

Looks like the MP is scoring off the charts in PC reviews, and of course the campaign is "like COD...derivative...nothing new...etc", but so what. It'll be like a sugar high...short, sweet, and a total rush. Six hours or so. Also, they have been complaining a bit about matchmaking and back end server issues, and that's just for PC and a limited press review group...so while people are getting frustrated and dealing with shitty servers, I think I'll just hang out and complete the campaign for the first day or so, lol.

Yeah I'm gonna play the campaign first then hit up some co-op with Raz and Dan then go play the fuck out of the MP.

looking at ingame footage, you can change VOIP from squad only to team speak or just mute it entirely =) also, you can pick which squad you would like to join instead of automatically

AND you can also have people ride on the rails of the little bird =) so its a fast attack/light transport
with weak armor (ie Vietnam Huey)

Nah, my PC couldn't handle it, and I hate shooters on tinyvision using a keyboard. I prefer HD on a 60" humongovision.
